When should you replace your air conditioner?

Were you suffering through the heat last year? Summer 2012 had 21 heat alerts (more than for 2010 or 2011), nine of which were extreme heat alerts. July was the hottest month, with 12 days of over 30 degree Celsius temperatures and 11 days of heat alerts, followed by June with 6 heat alerts.

• Your air conditioner is more than 10 years old
• Your equipment needs frequent repairs and your energy bills are going up
• Your home has humidity problems
• Your cooling system is noisy
