COBS BREAD—Now Open in The Kingsway, Etobicoke

The enticing aroma of freshly baked bread is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood, now that COBS Bread has opened its doors at Humbertown Centre. After only two years, COBS Bread now has eight bakeries in Ontario.

Their delicious loaves range from white and sourdough, to country grain, and signature items such as Cape Seed and Apricot Delight. Each local bakery offers more than 60 different baked items every day, chosen from 200 recipes, some with quirky Australian roots such as the CheesyMite Scroll.

As a healthy option for kid’s lunches, this September COBS Bread introduces a new white bread to satisfy kids and parents. Not only does it have three times the fibre of regular white bread, but it also has a low Glycemic Index (GI) rating. A low GI rating means a steadier supply of energy to the brain, which in turn assists in improving concentration levels and satisfying kids’ appetites for longer. As an added bonus, it tastes just like regular white bread, with a soft texture and soft crusts—your kid’s won’t even notice the difference.

COBS Bread also has sweet and sinful treats. Most popular are their Apple & Walnut Logs, Blueberry Tea Times and Cinnamon Logs. Smaller, individual treats include Apple Scrolls, Cinnamon Buns and Custard Scrolls.

Their new location at 270 The Kingsway (Dundas & Royal York) will produce freshly baked items several times a day, seven days a week, using time-honoured, baked-from-scratch methods.
