Millwood Wine Works Offers Great Value and Taste for Homemade Wine
Tuesday, September 23, 2008
Does a nice glass of wine complete your favourite meal? Making your own wine is easy and fun, and also offers great value. For between a $115 and $200, plus cost of bottles, you get 30-750ml bottles of delicious wine to enjoy with family and friends.
It all starts at family-owned-and-operated Millwood Wine Works. There are two steps. First select your wine according to budget, tastes and aging. Then combine grape juice with additives, and add dry yeast. Five minutes later, step one (for you) is done. Millwood’s staff takes care of the rest.
Step two is 4-8 weeks later for bottling, a process that takes as little as half an hour—especially with Millwood’s help. Once bottled, expert staff will guide you on proper aging of your wine. A process well worth the wait, aging is what makes the wine full-bodied—turning your wine into one that easily compares to $20-$25 commercial bottles.
