Experience world-class music—live, in your neighbourhood

“If it were not for Tafelmusik, I would think differently about Toronto and my life here.” Lynn Haight, Tafelmusik Patron

Under the inspired direction of Music Director Jeanne Lamon and Choir Director Ivars Taurins, the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Chamber Choir have touched millions of people around the world with extensive touring, critically-acclaimed recordings, and community partnerships. They are artist-focused and committed to innovation.

Their rigorous international touring schedule of up to 12 weeks a year has brought them worldwide acclaim, but you don’t need to travel to enjoy the magic of their performances—the musicians perform over 50 concerts right here in Toronto.

Experience the music of great composers from the 17th and 18th centuries—performed by this JUNO Award-winning orchestra and choir—with performances at Trinity-St. Paul’s Centre (corner of Bloor Street West and Spadina Avenue in the Annex) and at the George Weston Recital Hall in the Toronto Centre for the Arts (on Yonge Street just north of Sheppard Avenue in North York).

Highlights of the 2009 Holiday Season at Tafelmusik: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with guest director Stefano Montanari (Dec 2 to 6, Dec 8), an intimate performance of Handel’s Messiah (Dec 16 to 19), and the very special Sing-Along Messiah at Massey Hall (Sunday Dec 20), as directed by Maestro Georg Handel!
