Chabichou brings French-style deli/bistro to the Annex
Sunday, February 22, 2009
New to Borden Street is Chabichou, a cheese shop offering a classic French-style deli/bistro experience in the heart of Toronto.
Partners Whitney Brown and Laurent Brion, the masterminds behind popular Tati Bistro, followed their passion for delicious French food and scrumptious cheeses, with this niche food boutique.
The main attraction is the selection of cheeses, with more than 61 varieties from France, Italy, Quebec, Niagara and the Netherlands available. More are added to the list daily.
Chabichou is perfect for a morning breakfast of croissant or baguette with coffee. At lunch, enjoy seating at tables that line the store while you dine on Croque Monsieur or a grilled Brie sandwich.
For dinner, pick-up take home goodies like Boeuf Bourguignon, Gravlax Maison, Chicken Chasseur, and Duck and Orange Terrine. Also find Double-Smoked Bacon, Prosciutto, local butters and Crème Fraiche. For dessert, don’t forget the Crème Brulé!
An extraordinary food shop, Chabichou is a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Stop by and visit soon.
