Advice with integrity—getting the right mortgage

With the vast array of mortgage products being promoted, the home buyer is confused and vulnerable to the consequences of a bad choice.

An independent mortgage agent knows the pitfalls and can guide you to your best choice. A single point of contact is very helpful throughout the process.
Mortgages are complicated. For example, some banks only offer collateral charges, which is a different type of loan than a mortgage. This option offers pros and cons for the borrower. The pro is that if you want to refinance it saves on legal costs.

The cons—on renewal, clients are not eligible for a no-fee switch, so the only way to get a better deal at another lender is to pay legal costs. It is a great retention strategy for the lenders. And it encourages people to stay in debt longer because it is so easy. Also, at renewal, there may be less chance of getting the best rate. For those unlikely to refinance, this is not a good option.

Andrea coaches clients on paying their mortgages down sooner while ensuring that, on renewal, they will be eligible for the best rates with no-fee switching. These and other details are why you save money working with an Independent Mortgage Agent, who has the client’s best interests at heart.
