PB&J for dessert? Only at Bloom Restaurant

If a menu description ever did injustice to a dessert, this would be it… “peanut butter brioche bread pudding, strawberry and rhubarb jam, white chocolate, vanilla and honey ice cream”.

What the menu description fails to mention are words like: heavenly, unbelievable, delicious and home-made-everything.

One wonders where such a delectable creation came from? Nigel, the chef at Bloom Restaurant in Bloor West Village, was eating a peanut butter and jam sandwich at home after work: “I was just too tired to cook for myself when I got home. The next day I was joking about it with the staff, and someone suggested putting it on the menu.”

Like everything else at Bloom, Nigel has elevated the everyday into the extraordinary. You may think you’ve had the best lobster bisque you’ve ever eaten, or maybe you think that scallops only really taste good on the east coast. Think again.

Step outside the box and take a chance on this gem. You’ll be back again and again.
