The art of Roberts Gallery
Monday, March 8, 2010
Roberts Gallery was established in 1842 and has been specializing in Canadian art for more than 50 years. Every 3–4 weeks there’s a new exhibit—an emerging artist to discover or an established artist’s work to rediscover. Open to the public—wander through their three floors to see great historical works by the Group of Seven and post war leading artists.
On exhibit now (until March 13th) is the work of Bruce Steinoff. Known for his bold, energetic paintings of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, this is his 12th exhibition at Roberts Gallery.
Opening Saturday, March 27th is an exhibit of Mary Anne Ludlam’s new paintings from her recent trip to Newfoundland. Ludlam’s stylized watercolours and acrylics of the terrain and ice flows will be the primary focus of this exhibit.
Open Tues. to Sat., 10am–5pm. For more information on artists and upcoming exhibits visit www.robertsgallery.net
