Boland's Open Kitchen… now open in Leaside
Wednesday, September 22, 2010
Chris Boland, formerly of Tasting Rooms Restaurant, Trapper’s Restaurant and Telfer’s—has recently opened his newest establishment on Mt. Pleasant Road.
Offering a menu that is diverse, with a flair for both healthy and indulgent, Boland’s Open Kitchen is like visiting Chris’ home for dinner.
To start, enjoy being greeted with complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Next select from main course menu items prepared in both a traditional and contemporary manner—for instance, enjoy traditional poached salmon over asparagus with hollandaise; or the contemporary version of broiled rainbow trout with grilled pineapple, scallion, apple and red pepper salsa.
Another traditional main course item is roasted, de-boned Cornish Hen with jump fried mushrooms, fingerling potatoes & double-smoked bacon with natural jus & truffle oil. Contemporary choices include slow-cooked beef cheeks with carrots, fingerling potatoes & green onions; and seared Halibut with a warm quinoa salad and black olive tapenade.
Visit for dinner Tuesday–Sunday. Closed Mondays.
