But, according to owner Marcie, this fall introduced a few pleasant surprises. Along with rich purples, mixed olive tones, and more subdued metallics, soft classic camel has made a welcome comeback, along with the brightest of reds.

Casual Affairs Clothing suggests six fall color trends to get you started. September has arrived after all, and so has the time to start shopping for the season’s best looks!

Camel—great for an overcoat or blazer.
Purple—the perfect accent color.
Metallic—for skirts and floor length dresses.
Mixed Olive—all shades of olive green, browns and fatigues for a surprise impact.
Pale Blue—has an icy impact against the inevitable black shown in all collections.
Red—have fun in your wardrobe whether in a day dress or classic red blazer… “Red” is Casual Affairs’ favorite color.
