Taschen opens new flagship store in Yorkville

Taschen is the German word for bags, and it’s the perfect word to describe what this store offers—every sort of bag you can imagine—handbags, luggage, attache cases, briefcases, duffle bags, backpacks, suitcases, trunks, wallets, key pouches and more.

Taschen carries the best bags and luggage from around the world, including famous brand names Tumi and LeSportsac from the USA; Bree, Porsche Design, Rimowa and Offermann from Germany; Bric’s, Mandarina Duck and Roncato from Italy; and Lacoste from France.

In December 2010 Taschen opened its new flagship store at 29 Yorkville Avenue. With more than 4200 sq. ft. it has the largest Tumi shop-in-shop in Canada, and the first shop-in-shop for the brand names of Bric’s, Porsche Design, Offermann and Lacoste. It is the first store in the industry to introduce the ‘in-store touch screen electronic catalogue’ which uses a big-screen TV to help customers search for their ideal piece of luggage, briefcase or handbag, without having to crowd the shelves with every single item available from their suppliers.

Visit the store to see more of Tumi’s new collection or shop Taschen online at www.taschen.net.
