Is your home ready for spring? Tips from King’s Mill Construction
Tuesday, April 5, 2011
Winter always seems to drag on. It’s time to start thinking about the warm weather. When the snow has disappeared you should consider the following tips:
Open the exterior taps and check for frost damage. Check your roof for missing shingles and repair any flashings. Clean the eaves troughs and consider installing leaf guards. Replace your furnace filter and confirm the air conditioner is operating properly. Clean the AC unit and ensure the fins are clear. Clean the kitchen and dryer exhausts. Check your hot water heater for rust and leakage.
Get the grass fertilizer/weed control contract in order. Repair the holes and cracks in the driveway. Consider installing a programmable thermostat to save energy. Test all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Create a new energy around your home by moving things around. Think with colour!
