Speaking of Dogs—rescuing all breeds of dogs since 2001

Are you a family of dog lovers? Perhaps you can’t make the commit-ment to permanently adopt one but would like to help by caring for a dog short-term. Perhaps you already have a dog of your own but would like to help a less fortunate dog—either way, you might want to think about becoming a foster parent/family.

Speaking of Dogs Rescue, an all-breed rescue launched in 2001, is Toronto-based and always in recruit mode for responsible, caring people to become part of its foster parent team.

Now that the summer is over, the kids are back to school and you are back to a regular schedule, the time could be right to consider offering your home to a needy canine.

Speaking of Dogs Rescue covers all veterinary and medical bills as well as food and supplies required for the dogs in foster care. Foster parents need to offer a safe environment along with heaping helpings of TLC; patience and understanding are also requirements. Fostering is a serious responsibility but comes with unmatched rewards.

Foster homes with children need good parental direction and supervision, must be respectful to dogs and illustrate gentle, thoughtful handling abilities. For a child, helping a dog along life’s path through fostering can have a lasting meaningful affect. It is an act of kindness, giving and caring that they can proudly share the experience with friends, family and teachers.
